The Sony Story
Sony harness video webcasts to launch their new product for education.

Background
Technology giant Sony used webcasts to promote their new active learning solution, Vision Exchange, to the educational sector.
This high-end digital solution supports learners in HE, to further develop their study using technology, connecting devices, and learning interactively.

How It All Works
Webcasts can take many different shapes. Together with Sony our team proposed a combination of live and pre-recorded video.
This meant recording part of the panel debate one day, to ensure the content was perfect. This was then streamed with a seamless transition to the live discussion in the same studio setup. The audience never knew the difference.
Our team filmed the event multi-camera and utilised our Branding+ service to ensure the online event page was within the Sony website, perfect for attendees to continue browsing post-event.
We implemented single sign-on to ensure users who registered on the Sony website were still tracked and didn’t have to re-enter information.
An Engaging Product Launch
Sony were surprised at the level of engagement from attendees during the event. Attendees asked a significant number of questions throughout, which were all put to the expert panel.
While the subject is niche, they generated a healthy number of registrations and attendees. Sony also received product demo requests during and after the event which helped generate a great ROI.
The on-demand version has since been used at conferences and exhibitions to provide an in-depth demonstration for interested buyers.
